Scottish Eagles have been forced to pull out of the semi-finals of the Continental Cup because of financial difficulties. They postponed two Superleague games in order to allow them breathing space to resolve the problem but have now withdrawn from Europe.

Rouen, the French side who were runners-up to the Eagles in the group phase, will replace them when Belfast Giants host the last-four of the event later this month.

The Superleague leaders Sheffield Steelers took an extra point from their unfinished encounter from two weeks ago at Bracknell Bees on Sunday. The initial 1-1 result, from the tie abandoned because of dangerous ice, stood but, after a standalone 2-2 draw on Sunday, five minutes of overtime were played.
