There were bronze medals for Surbiton and Slough in the European Cup-Winners' Cup competitions yesterday.
Rotterdam, the hosts of the women's event, beat Sintez Dzerjinsk from Russia 5-2 in the final, while in Terrassa, Spain, Amsterdam took the men's title, beating An der Alster from Hamburg 4-2, with the England striker David Mathews scoring a hat-trick. He was the tournament's leading goalscorer.
Surbiton beat Poctowiec (Poland) 3-2 in the men's event, while Slough were 2-1 victors over the An der Alster women.
