From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Tricia Heberle, the Great Britain coach, was satisfied with her side's performance at the Tri-Nations Tournament in Buenos Aires, despite losing the final to Argentina on Sunday.

"I am very satisfied with our overall performances at this tournament," Heberle said. "We have sent out a message. We need to qualify for the Olympics and it is good to be testing ourselves and measuring ourselves against the best."

Britain jumped to a two-goal lead in the first five minutes of the final through goals from Rhona Simpson - her fifth in three games - and Anna Bennett, but Argentina hit back with four second-half goals, including three in the final eight minutes to claim the victory.

Heberle, however, took heart from Britain's earlier victories over Argentina (4-2) and China (4-1), who finished third in the World Cup last December.

Great Britain will go into a training camp in Australia next month while England compete in the Champions Trophy.
