Your support makes all the difference.Dillian Whyte has offered to step in and fight Anthony Joshua after Jarrell Miller allegedly failed a drugs test following a positive test for a banned substance.
With the fight on June 1 fast approaching, the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) test returned an adverse finding from Miller’s urine sample.
Both camps have been informed of the finding, though promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed AJ’s preparation for Madison Square Garden continues.
And now former foe Whyte insists he would be willing to step in to save the show in a rematch against the unified world heavyweight champion.
“If they want it, they can have it,” Whyte told talkSPORT.
“I would take the fight with Joshua at the drop of a hat.
“I can whip myself into shape for the right opponent.”
Hearn is now exploring a contingency plan, with Adam Kownacki and Luis Ortiz also mentioned as potential alternatives.
“We have been informed by Vada that there has been an adverse finding in Jarrell Miller’s sample collected on March 20th, 2019,” Hearn announced.
“We are working with all relevant parties and will update with more details soon. AJ’s preparation continues for June 1st at MSG (Madison Square Garden).”
Joshua has previously emphasised his commitment to a clean sport, outlining the exorbitant cost to the fighter.
“I am on (drug testing scheme) ADAMS whereabouts, they have to know where I am for an hour every day and could walk in anytime,” Joshua said.
“They can turn up any time during the day and that is a lifetime commitment. I have been on that since 2012 and I pay £40,000-a-fight to be tested by Vada two times a week.”
