From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Harrison dropped Wiggins in round four and caught him again to force the referee's intervention for this 14th inside-the -distance win in 19 professional fights. It was arguably his best so far.

"I really feel that everything is finally going right for me and that I'm on track to reach the top in 2006," Harrison claimed.

The win, Harrison's sixth in America, was the only one of his 19 fights not to have been shown in the UK and that is something Harrison believes will change when he moves closer to a proper world title fight.

The plan according to Harrison, who has reinvented himself in America as a reformed street thug, includes two fights before the end of the year and then a title fight by April 2006.

However, Harrison will take three weeks off to marry his fiancée Raychel Feder before returning to Las Vegas and drawing up a list of names for his next two fights, which he hopes will be televised. "The fans are there for me and I will retain their loyalty," Harrison added.
