Great Britain's men's team have suffered a blow in the build-up to this weekend's European Cup final with news that world indoor silver medallist Daniel Caines has withdrawn through ill-health. Last year Caines played a major role in the men's title-winning squad when he won the individual 400m and anchored the 4x400m relay team to victory with a storming final leg.
His replacement is Iwan Thomas, a former Commonwealth and European champion.
