Bayern Munich take on Mexican side Tigres UANL in the Club World Cup final in Qatar on Thursday. The Bundesliga giants qualified after winning the UEFA Champions League in August and will be hoping to succeed Liverpool in taking the title of the best club in world football.

Tigres only won the CONCACAF Champions League - the biggest club tournament for the region of North America, Central America and the Caribbean - in December, beating MLS side Los Angeles FC in the final.

Both teams kept clean sheets in their semi-finals at the Club World Cup, with Bayern seeing off Egypt's Al Ahly 2-0 and Tigres beating Brazilian side Palmeiras by a single goal. The Mexicans have also played Korean outfit Ulsan, winning the earlier round 2-1.

The Bundesliga side have been rock solid for most of the current campaign, even if they haven't hit the heights they are capable of, and are top of the domestic table, seven points clear of second-place RB Leipzig and one of the big favourites for the Champions League again this season. Tigres, meanwhile, haven't started the Liga MX Clausura campaign in great fashion, winning two of their four games so far.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of the final.

When is the match?

The game kicks off at 6pm GMT on Thursday, 11 February in Al Rayyan, Qatar.

Where can I watch it?

The match will be shown live on the BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport website, as well as via the BBC Red Button.

What is the team news?

Bayern are without Jerome Boateng, who has had to fly home due to tragic personal circumstances. Leon Goretzka and Javi Martinez are both out injured, but Hansi Flick has an otherwise fit squad to choose from. His biggest call will be with which attackers play in support of Robert Lewandowski, with Leroy Sane starting to show improved form.

Veteran striker Andre-Pierre Gignac has scored all three of Tigres' goals at the competition so far and he'll be the main threat in the final once more. Mexican pair Diego Reyes and Carlos Salcedo both enjoyed good spells in Europe but are now the heart of the back line for Tigres in their home country.

Predicted line-ups

FCB: Neuer; Pavard, Sule, Alaba, Davies; Kimmich, Roca; Coman, Muller, Gnabry; Lewandowski

TIG: Guzman; Rodriguez, Reyes, Salcedo, Duenas; Aquino, Rafael Carioca, Pizarro, Quinones; Gonzalez, Gignac

Odds

Bayern - 1/5

Draw - 13/2

Tigres - 16/1

Prediction

The German side to dominate, but Tigres will be a threat from set plays and on the counter if they can get Javi Aquino on the ball. Overall, though, Bayern's greater firepower should see the trophy remain with a European team. Bayern 2-0 Tigres.
