England learned that they face Colombia in the round of 16 following the 1-0 loss against Belgium.

The result leaves Gareth Southgate’s side runners up in Group G.

Adnan Januzaj scored the only goal of the game as England finished behind Belgium and were granted arguably the easier run through the knockout rounds.

Colombia were on the brink of going out of the World Cup ahead of their final Group H match but their 1-0 victory and Japan’s defeat to Poland meant the 2014 quarter-finalists surprisingly topped the group.

When is Colombia vs England?

The match is on Tuesday 3 July and kicks off at 19:00 at Moscow’s Spartak Stadium

England made eight changes against Belgium and will head into Tuesday’s game with a fresh squad and an extra day of training than if they finished first.

James Rodriguez hobbled off in the second half in Colombia’s final match and missed the first group game which makes his an injury doubt for the round of 16 clash.

England and Colombia last met in 2005 when Sven-Goran Eriksson beat the South American side 3-2 in a friendly courtesy of Michael Owen’s 22-minute hat-trick.
