Belgium outplayed Brazil at the Kazan Arena to progress from their World Cup quarter-final and setup a mouth-watering showdown with France.

After gaining confidence from Fernandinho’s early own goal, Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku in particular to the game by the scruff of the neck, with the latter setting up the former to put Belgium two ahead at the break.

Despite Renato Augusto’s late goal, Brazil’s star players struggled to imprint themselves on the game and will leave Russia wondering what could have been.
