Phil Neville’s side have endured a relatively miserable time since their World Cup heroics, winning just two of their last seven matches.
It was the US who defeated the Lionesses 2-1 in the semi-final and they remain unbeaten since January 2019, having won all but three of their last 28 fixtures.
They are, however, negotiating a new era, with Vlatko Andonovski replacing Jill Ellis as head coach.
