Wolfsburg and Arsenal meet for a second year in succession in the knockout rounds of the Women’s Champions League.

The German side were the winners in the last eight 12 months ago, securing a 3-1 victory to advance.

This year’s meeting comes a round later, with a place in the Eindhoven final on the line across the two-legged affair.

Significant injury issues for both teams could prove decisive as they look to progress.

Here’s everything you need to know.

When is Wolfsburg vs Arsenal?

The first leg of the semi-final is due to kick off at 2.30pm BST on Sunday 23 April at the VfL Wolfsburg Arena in Germany.

How can I watch it?

Viewers in the United Kingdom can watch the semi-final first leg live on DAZN or YouTube. Every game in this season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League from the group stage onwards is broadcast live in most territories on streaming platform DAZN, together with YouTube.

Team news

Wolfsburg star Alexandra Popp has missed her side’s recent fixtures due to a calf injury, and is a major doubt for the first leg. Marina Hegering is another who could miss out, while Lena Lattwein’s season has been ended by a broken collarbone. Jill Roord and Dominique Janssen are likely to start against their former club.

Jonas Eidevall’s squad is even more significantly depleted. Already without Vivianne Miedema, Beth Mead and Kim Little, the Arsenal manager lost Leah Williamson, who has torn her ACL, in midweek Women’s Super League action. Steph Catley is back available, though, and Caitlin Foord is another who could return.

Confirmed line-ups

Wolfsburg XI: Frohms; Wilms, Hendrich, Janssen, Rauch; Oberdorf, Roord, Huth; Brand, Pajor, Jónsdóttir

Arsenal XI: Zinsberger; Maritz, Wubben-Moy, Beattie, Rafaelle; Walti, Maanum, Pelova; McCabe, Blackstenius, Foord.

Odds

Wolfsburg win 63/100

Draw 29/10

Arsenal win 4/1

Prediction

While Wolfsburg are also dealing with injuries, Arsenal will surely struggle in the absence of so much of the spine of their squad. Wolfsburg 3-1 Arsenal.
