Watford have signed Belgian centre-back Christian Kabasele for a currently undisclosed fee.

According to claims from the Belgian media, a deal in the €10m region has been agreed for the Racing Genk player.

Kabasele, who is currently on duty for Belgium at the European Championships, is expected to sign a five-year-deal at Vicarage Road.

The 25-year-old centre-back has so far remained unused at Euro 2016 in all four of his country’s games.

Kabasele defender made 41 appearances for Genk last season and scored four goals as his side secured a fourth-place finish in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.

The signing is Watford's second of the day after a £12.5m deal for Nigerian striker Isaac Success was confirmed earlier this morning. The club have also rejected a £37.5m offer from Shanghai SIPG for Odion Ighalo.
