The future of West Brom striker Saido Berahino’s career at The Hawthorns looks to be in serious doubt after various reports claimed a mass falling out had occurred between the 21-year-old and his team-mates.

The Telegraph reported on Thursday that the club’s hierarchy had been infuriated at an unsanctioned interview with Sky Sports, in which Berahino claimed he would move on at the end of the season to “bigger and better things”. Furthermore, the club are believed to have abandoned plans to restart contract negotiations with the striker, and will look to sell him in the summer on their own conditions.

West Brom manager Tony Pulis is due to speak to the media on Friday and is likely to be quizzed on the matter, with serious doubts emerging of his off-field behaviour an interaction with his club colleagues.

Meanwhile, Arsenal pulled out of a move to sign Saint Etienne midfieder Loic Perrin after holding talks with the 29-year-old. According to TalkSport, Perrin confirmed that “serious contacts” took place between Perrin’s agent and the Gunners, but the Premier League club instead chose to bring in young Polish midfielder Krystian Bielik and Gabriel Paulista.

Stevan Jovetic is being linked with a Manchester City exit after he was axed from their Champions League squad for the rest of the season. In order to add new £28m signing Wilfried Bony to his restricted European squad, Manuel Pellegrini needed to remove one current player eligible to play in the tournament, and unfortunately for the Montenegrin striker, he was the man deemed surplus to requirements. The Times reports that Jovetic’s snub has plunged his future into doubt and he could seek a move at the end of the season.

Kevin Mirallas is stalling on a new contract

Everton

midfielder Kevin Mirallas has given the strongest hint yet that he is ready to leave the club after he was quoted by the Liverpool Echo as saying he’s “ready for a new challenge”. Mirallas is currently refusing any contract talks after putting them off until the summer, but with his current deal set to expire in 2016, the expectation is that the Toffees will cash in before the risk of losing him for nothing becomes a real possibility.

Former Newcastle midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa will have to wait until the new season after the prospect of a move to the MLS with new club New York City FC. The American top flight is not governed by Fifa’s rule that prevents a player from featuring for three clubs in a single season, but head coach Jason Kreis has rejected the chance to sign the Frenchman, according to the Daily Mail.
