Your support makes all the difference.The Premier League says it has not given Portsmouth approval for midfielder Jamie O'Hara to renew his loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur as the South Coast side are still governed by a registration embargo banning them from making any new signings. Proposed new loan deals such as the one for O'Hara have to be signed off by the Premier League board and they have not done so yet. "The clubs may have agreed a deal in principle," a spokesman said. "But it is up to the Premier League board to decide whether there can be a continuation." The 23-year-old midfielder has impressed during his four months on loan from White Hart Lane, making 14 appearances and scoring once.
McCarthy denies permanent move for Mancienne is on the cards
Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has maintained that he has "never discussed" the possibility of making the season-long loan of Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne permanent. Mancienne, who turns 22 on Friday, is in his second spell at Molineux and gained international recognition in November 2008 when he was called up by England for a friendly in Germany. "We took him on loan and whether I would like to keep him or not, it has never been discussed," McCarthy said. "It is wrong to have a quote from me saying 'I would like to sign him'."
