Arsenal's hopes of signing Edinson Cavani appear to have been given a boost. The Daily Express report that the striker was omitted from Paris St Germain's warm-weather training plans, leading to speculation the French club are ready to off-load the Uruguay international.

Danny Ings has said that he will reject any advances for his services in January and stay and help Burnley fight relegation. The striker has been linked with a host of clubs, and whilst it seems a January move is now unlikely, it could be a different story in the summer.

Manchester United continue to be linked with a host of big name players, but it seems a 16-year-old by the name of Maritin Odegaard could be the first arrival next month. The Norwegian teenager visited Old Trafford and met Louis van Gaal after United made an official move, according to The Daily Express. It's reported that the Stromgodset midfielder will also visit Manchester City this week.

A rather more well known name to be linked with United is that of Sergio Ramos. Van Gaal has made the Real Madrid defender his top summer target according to the Daily Star.

Newcastle are currently a club in flux with manager Alan Pardew appearing likely to leave for Crystal Palace. So they'll be please with reports in The Sun that suggest Moussa Sissoko will turn down a move to Arsenal if the Gunners come calling and remain at St James' Park.
