West Ham are reportedly lining up a surprise move for Southampton outcast Dani Osvaldo.
Sam Allardyce is said to be in the market for another striker, despite taking Marco Boriello on loan, having missed out on Lacina Traore and it is thought Osvaldo could now be in his sights.
Southampton are understood to be keen to move Osvaldo on after the striker head-butted Jose Fonte in training last week, an incident that has seen him suspended.
West Ham were previously said to be interested in Southampton striker Rickie Lambert but Osvaldo's bust-up would appear to have scuppered any moves for the England striker.
It is thought that Osvaldo, who has scored just three goals since his £15m move from Roma, would prefer a move back to Serie A.
