From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Alen Halilovic, who is reportedly a target for Arsenal and Tottenham, has been expressing his love of English football to Gazzetta dell Sport. The Croatia international, who broke into the national team at just 17, has also been linked with moves to Germany or Italy, but he's being coy over where his future lies (or he simply doesn't know); “I don't want to say which is my favourite team, in case I'll join another one,” said the attacking midfielder.

Manchester City, Arsenal and his former club Manchester United, are all reportedly interested in bringing Paul Pogba back to the Premier League. However, according to the Daily Mail, Juventus aren't interested in letting the France international leave for at least another 18 months.

It would appear two goals against Romania are enough to secure you a transfer to Liverpool nowadays (or at least find yourself linked with a move). Greece international Kostas Mitroglou scored a brace in the recent World Cup play-off, and now he finds himself closing in on a £7m move to Anfield by The Mirror.

Eddy Onazi had been linked with a move to Everton, but TalkSPORT have quoted the Nigeria international as saying he would "jump at the chance" of a move to Liverpool. That won't go down well in the blue half of Merseyside.

Despite signing a new contract with Manchester United earlier this season, rumours about the future of Luis Nani continue to circulate. He's off to Serie A now apparently. with champions Juventus keen to bring the Portugal international in.
