Montpellier attacking midfielder Remy Cabella has admitted that a move to Newcastle United could prove too tempting as the Magpies look to add to their squad.

News broke yesterday that Toon manager Alan Pardew will meet with Joe Kinnear and Mike Ashley later this week to discuss the club's transfer policy for the coming month.

The Magpies are yet to make an official approach, but Montpellier have admitted they are expecting a bid for the 23-year-old from the North East outfit.

"For the moment, in my head, I'm 100 per cent Montpellier," Cabella told French radio station RMC.

"If a proposal comes, it is up to the two clubs to discuss and I will think in terms of that.

"I am not aware of what is happening, I am dedicated to playing and that is the most important."

When asked about the rumours linking him with a switch to St. James' Park, he added: "Newcastle? Well, we realise that at some point we must leave. I think I'm capable of it.

"England interests me, there are good clubs out there. If Montpellier reaches an agreement with an English club that suits me, I'll be happy."

His current club are in serious danger of dropping down to Ligue 2, sitting just one point above the relegation zone, and Cabella admitted that it would be hard to leave his teammates in such a predicament.

"I think this is my last season with the club and I do not want to leave Montpellier in Ligue 2," he said.

"This is my last year and I hope to finish in style. I love England but also Spain, Italy and Germany."
