Micah Richards looks set to leave Manchester City this summer after he told the club he does not want to sign a new contract.
The news may grab Arsenal’s attention with their full-back Bacary Sagna seemingly on his way out of the Emirates. Sagna, allegedly, had been offered a new £100,000 a week deal to stay at the Gunners but any negotiations would appear to have failed with the defender wanting to leave.
Richards was also offered an improved contract, with a new five-year deal at Etihad on the table, but the defender, who has 13 England caps, has signalled his intent to leave the club in search of regular first team football.
The 25-year-old has only played twice in the league this season and only featured for Manuel Pellegrini’s side in two FA Cup games since the turn of the new year.
Richards, who was a loan target for Liverpool in January, has suffered from injuries for the past two seasons limiting his amount of first team action.
