Your support makes all the difference.Queens Park Rangers have signed Uruguayan striker Javier Chevanton on a three-month deal, subject to international clearance.
The 33-year-old was a free agent following his release from Lecce at the end of last season, and will be an option for Harry Redknapp up front with strikers Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson out injured. Chevanton had been training with QPR over the last few weeks.
"With the injuries we’ve had to Bobby and AJ, we’re really short of options in that department," Redknapp told qpr.co.uk. "Javier has spent time with us and integrated into the group very well."
Chevanton has won 22 caps for the Uruguayan national team, scoring seven goals.
"He arrives with a good pedigree and gives us a much-needed extra option in attack," Redknapp added.
Chevanton said: "I am really looking forward to the challenge of playing in England. I have scored goals all around Europe and I am confident I can continue that record with QPR."
