According to FootballInsider.com Tottenham have rejected the chance to sign former Liverpool and Chelsea striker Fernando Torres. The Spanish striker has been offered to the club by Athletico Madrid after he returned from his loan at AC Milan. However, Spurs aren’t thought to be interested in the player, especially as he is out of contract in the summer.

The Mirror are reporting that Spurs may still make a late bid for West Bromwich Albion star Saido Berahino. According to the paper Tottenham had agreed a £22m deal for the player in the summer but weren’t able to go through with the deal.

And while the north London club are looking to ease pressure on star man Harry Kane, they are apparently unsure over how Berahino will fit into the club. Especially with the well reported incidents of dressing room disharmony that have accompanied the England Under-21's time at the Hawthorns. Nonetheless don’t rule out a late move for a player that could deliver goals for club.

Meanwhile Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele has signed a new contract with the club. The midfielder joined from Fulham in 2012 and his new deal is set to keep him at Spurs until 2019.

In a confusing move, namesake Moussa Dembele is set to join him in moving to Tottenham from Fulham. The player had a medical at the White Hart Lane club yesterday according to Sky Sports and should be able to complete the move before the end of the window. The 19-year-old French forward has scored 11 goals in 29 performances this season and may well reduce Spurs' demand for another striker.

The Express are reporting that Manchester United are looking to swoop for Spurs do Harry Kane and Delle Alli. Mauricio Pochettino is thought to be keen to hold on the pair who have both starred for the London club this season.

According to reports Louis van Gaal’s staff have prepared dossiers on the players having watched the last four of Spurs’ games. However, both players have signed long term contracts with the club and Daniel Levy will be looking for a huge offer to even tempt him to part with his most valued assets.

Another player that may not be at Old Trafford next season is midfielder Michael Carrick. The 34-year-old ex-Tottenham player is out of contract at the club this summer as the Sun reports that ‘multiple’ Premier League clubs are interested in the star. A move back to his old club could be on the cards.

What do you think of the players that are on their way in and out of White Hart Lane? Is Mauricio Pochetinno right to be wary of Saido Berahino or should he do all he can to sign the player? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
