Tottenham transfer news: Andros Townsend left in limbo as Spurs wait on Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin
English winger seemingly caught in the middle of stand-off

Andros Townsend could be stuck in the middle of Tottenham and Southampton as the two clubs battle over Morgan Schneiderlin.
Southampton are reported to have made a bid for the winger but Tottenham are said to be rejecting all bids for Townsend unless they agree to let Schneiderlin move to north London.
The French midfielder was a firm favourite of Mauricio Pochettino's at St Mary's, but Southampton do not want to sell having already lost a number of key platers this summer.
New Saints manager Ronald Koeman sees Scheiderlin as a key part of the club's future - some reports state that the South Coast club want as much as £25m for the 24-year-old.

The wrangling over the midfielder leaves Townsend in no man's land. He was left out of the squad for the 4-0 win over Queens Park Rangers and managed just 18 minutes as a substitute the previous week against West Ham.
He became the darling of the national game for a brief period last year, earning himself a new four-year deal and a call-up into the England squad.
But sine then his form has suffered and he missed the end of the season and the World Cup with an ankle injury.
Pochettino has so far preferred Erik Lamela, Christian Eriksen and Nacer Chadli since he arrived.
QPR are also interested in bringing Townsend back to Loftus Road, but Harry Redknapp would prefer a loan deal and Tottenham want to sell.
