Your support makes all the difference.Christian Eriksen’s agent has revealed he has received offers to leave Tottenham Hotspur every transfer window since he joined at that it is “a compliment” when teams such as Manchester United are linked.
Eriksen has become one of the top playmakers in the Premier League since joining from Ajax in 2013 and so far has nine goals and nine assists for Spurs this season.
It is form like that which led Barcelona to make a tentative approach last summer before committing to chasing Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool instead, with that deal being completed last month.
However, with the Danish international set to star at this summer’s World Cup having scored a hat-trick to ensure his country qualify and his performances in this season’s Champions League, Barca’s approach is sure to not be the last one Spurs receive.
And the 26-year-old’s agent Martin Schoots has admitted that the offers have not stopped for Eriksen but that they must mean that his client is playing well.
“Since Christian was 14 years old, big clubs have shown interest,” Schoots told Danish newspaper BT. “The first were Chelsea, AC Milan and Barcelona, since then there has been no transfer window without any offer or interest.
“But when clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United are mentioned, it’s always a compliment.
“It is not all clubs known by the press. Christian is not a guy who wants to talk too much. He talks with his feet.”
