Southampton sign Norwich midfielder Nathan Redmond for £10m
England under-21 player leaves relegated Norwich for club record fee after three years

Southampton have signed England under-21 winger Nathan Redmond from Norwich City for £10m.
The 22-year-old spent three years at Carrow Road but departs after being unable to help the Canaries retain their Premier League place last season.
Redmond began his career at Birmingham City before moving to East Anglia in 2013, helping them win promotion to the top-flight 12 months ago as he scored in the play-off final against Middlesbrough.
He has yet to gain full international recognition but helped the under-21s win the Toulon tournament last month.
He moves to St Mary's on a five-year contract and becomes the club's first signing of the summer and will join up with his new Saints colleagues next week for pre-season training,
“When Southampton said they were interested it felt like the right move for me,” Redmond said. “I can’t wait to get started now“
“I’m really pleased to have made the move. It’s a fantastic football club with excellent facilities, and I really feel I can develop my game here.

“The club’s style of play has always been excellent. They like to play attacking football and it’s a style I feel I can really fit in well with.
“I’m delighted to be able to welcome Nathan to Southampton,“ Saints executive director of football, Les Reed, said.
“Despite being just 22, Nathan has gained plenty of experience in the Premier League with Norwich , showing his quality on a consistent basis
“He has also performed exceptionally well on the international stage, playing a key role in helping England Under-21s win the Toulon Tournament.
“He has the potential to continue developing and becoming an integral part of the squad for years to come.”
Redmond's arrival follows the departure earlier in the week of midfielder Victor Wanyama to Tottenham for £11m, and manager Ronald Koeman leaving to take over at Everton.
Saints begin their campaign at home to Watford on 13 August.
