Your support makes all the difference.World Cup winner Sami Khedira will remain at the Bernabeu this summer, says Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti.
The industrious midfielder has been linked with a host of clubs ever since his nation's triumph in Brazil, with Arsenal in particular among those known to have expressed an interest. Manchester United and Chelsea have also been linked.
However, ahead of Real Madrid's Uefa European Super Cup meeting with Sevilla this evening, Ancelotti moved to quell speculation around the 27-year-old.
"He's not leaving, he's a Real Madrid player. He has a contract until June 30, 2015 and that's all there is to say."
As Ancelotti points out, Khedira's contract will expire next summer, a situation that has inflamed transfer speculation. It had been reported prior to Ancelotti's comments that Real Madrid were keen to off-load the player before the transfer window closes rather than let him leave for free in 12 months time.
A fee in the region of £24m has been mooted for any potential buyers - however it is the German's wage demands that have been cited as a stumbling block to any move.
The former Stuttgart player is understood to be seeking remuneration in the region of £150,000-a-week - a figure that poses a problem for the Gunners, whose current highest earner is last summer's German acquisition from Real Madrid, Mesut Ozil.
