Roberto Firmino to Manchester United: Agent confirms Hoffenheim's Brazilian star forward is 'moving to England' this summer

23-year-old Firmino is currently playing fro Brazil in the Copa America but looks set to secure a move to United upon his return to Europe

Roberto Firmino's proposed transfer to Manchester United appears to be getting closer by the day after the Hoffenheim forward's agent admitted he is on the move to England.

The 23-year-old Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move to United this summer with reports last week claiming a £13.1m fee had already been agreed between the two clubs.

With Firmino currently on Copa America duty with his country, and move will not go through until he has returned from Chile – who are hosting the tournament – but Firmino’s agent has confirmed that upon his return a deal will be finalised which will take him to the Premier League.

"All I can say is that he's moving to England," Roger Wittmann, Firmnio’s agent, told German newspaper Bild.

Despite the delay, it’s believed that Firmino will undergo a medical as well as agree terms to a move while he remains in South America. However, it’s also reported that any deal between United and Hoffenheim will be considerably more than the £13.1m claimed last week.

Hoffenheim value Firmino between £18m and £21.7m, according to the Manchester Evening News, and a transfer this summer is likely to smash the German club’s previous record sale, which stands as Carlos Eduardo’s move to Rubin Kazan for £14.5m in 2010.
