Petr Cech is closing in on a move away from Chelsea 10 years after joining the Blues, with his agent confirming that he is already in talks with over clubs.

Arsenal are believed to be considering a move for Cech in a bid to address their long-term issues in goal, although the London rivalry between the two clubs could prove to be a hindrance in the Gunners’ pursuit.

Cech has remained loyal to Chelsea this season having fallen behind Thibaut Courtois in Jose Mourinho’s pecking order, but he looks set to leave inside the next few months and his agent has fuelled the flames by revealing he is already in talks with “interested parties”.

Cech’s agent Viktor Kolar told TalkSport: “Petr has a valid contract with his current club, however, I can confirm that we have been permitted by Chelsea to negotiate with interested parties,.

“Petr has confirmed his interest to play regularly at a top club.”

The latest development will give hope to Arsenal fans that he could yet make the short trip across London to the Emirates in time for next season. Earlier this week, Kolar revealed that he was in talks with Besiktas regarding a move to Turkey, but any move is far from secured and it appears that Cech’s future will not be decided until well into the summer.

Paris Saint-Germain also remain interested in Cech and hope that Chelsea’s reluctance to sell him to the Gunners will boost their own attempts to lure the 32-year-old to the French capital.
