Petr Cech has revealed that he could have joined Arsenal before he signed for Chelsea 11 years ago, but joked that he hasn't missed much.
Cech eventually signed for the Blues from French club Rennes, and won 13 major honours at Stamford Bridge, including the Champions League in 2012.
He signed for the Gunners for £11m on Monday.
Since the goalkeeper joined Chelsea in the summer of 2004, Arsenal have won two FA Cups, and er, three Emirates Cups.
After coming close to joining Arsenal, Cech said in an interview with Arsenal's official website: "I didn't really miss much but all I've managed to achieve in the past decade, if I can replicate here will be brilliant."
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said of the move: "Petr Cech is a player that I have admired for a long time and I am very pleased that he has decided to join us. He has proven over many seasons that he is one of the outstanding keepers in the world and he will add great strength to our squad."
