Oumar Niasse to Everton: Lokomotiv Moscow striker set to complete £13.5m Merseyside switch - reports
The 25-year-old appears set to join the Toffees after being crowned the Russian Premier League’s player of the year

Everton hope to complete the £13.5m transfer of Lokomotiv Moscow’s Oumar Niasse after the Senegalese striker reportedly travelled to Merseyside to undergo a medical.
The 25-year-old appears set to join the Toffees after being crowned the Russian Premier League’s player of the year for 2015 and, if terms can be agreed, will arrive just in time to alleviate pressure on manager Roberto Martínez.
Following the £8.5m sale of Scotland international Steven Naismith to Norwich City earlier in the month, the Spaniard has been on the look-out for attacking reinforcements. According to the Guardian, they are confident of concluding business with Lokomotiv in time for the 11pm deadline this evening.
The deal to sign Niasse would represent the highest individual fee paid by a Premier League club this month, eclipsing the two £12m packages afforded by Newcastle United to secure Jonjo Shelvey and Andros Townsend.
Everton are without a victory in five top-flight matches and have slumped from European contention to being just eight points clear of the relegation zone in 12th place.
