Manchester United, Arsenal and Leicester have enquired about Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina.
Lemina, who joined the Saints from Juventus two years ago, looks set to leave St Mary's after admitting he is open to leaving the Premier League club.
It is understood that United, Arsenal and Leicester have all expressed an interest in Lemina, although no team has met Southampton's valuation of the midfielder.
Lemina has three years remaining on his contract and Southampton want to recoup as much of the £18m they spent on him as possible.
The 25-year-old was left out of Southampton's pre-season trip to Austria, something of a surprise omission from Ralph Hasenhuttl, who is now willing to sell the player.
United may view the combative midfielder as a good replacement for Paul Pogba, who recently expressed his desire to look for "a new challenge".
Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, said last week: "Everyone within the club from the manager to the owner knows Paul's wishes. Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that."
Lemina admitted at the weekend he is open to the idea of leaving Southampton if the right opportunity arises. "I still have another three years of contract. But it is true that I do not rule out the possibility of seeing something else," he said.
"The last four months have not been easy for me, with my injury. The coach put his team together. I want to start afresh. So why not leave?
"We have very good discussions with the club. We are in agreement. If I don't feel good in this project, I can leave. They are giving me the opportunity to be able to go elsewhere."
