Harry Maguire has reportedly been filmed arriving at Manchester United’s Carrington training base ahead of an expected medical.

The Leicester City defender is due to join the Old Trafford club after United agreed to meet his £80m price tag.

The Daily Mirror reports that a van with tinted windows and a Triple S Sports & Entertainment Company logo – a management group used by Maguire – was filmed arriving at Carrington on Saturday.

His transfer to United is set to be announced next week, making him the club’s third signing of the summer.

Elsewhere, Ajax have rejected a £46m bid from United for Brazilian star David Neres, according to the Daily Express.

The Dutch champions will reportedly not accept anything less than £64m for the 22-year-old.

United are considering a move for Tottenham's Christian Eriksen, ahead of what is set to be a fraught last week of the transfer window that could well see a merry-go-round.

The Danish playmaker has not yet signed a new contract at White Hart Lane, with his current deal set to run out next year, but his options are diminishing.

Eriksen’s first choice was Real Madrid but they have long cooled their interest, and are moving for Ajax‘s Donny van de Beek.

Juventus have enquired about the Dane, but any move depends on the sale of Paulo Dybala, who is currently reluctant to go to Old Trafford.

That alone illustrates how interdependent so many of these moves are, especially since Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes – himself a United target – has been mooted as an Eriksen replacement.

Regarding Dybala, a former teammate of the Argentine has urged him to push for a move to Liverpool instead of United.

The Juventus forward has been linked with a move to Old Trafford which could see Romelu Lukaku move in the other direction.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport claims Dybala has “no interest” in joining United, and Andrea Dossena, who played with the forward at Palermo, has reiterated this.

Dossena told Tuttomercato: “If the team in question had been Liverpool or Manchester City , in my opinion he would have had no doubts.

“United are more of a construction site at the moment, and for this reason I understand indecision – I too would be 50/50.”

Lastly, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has once again sought to dismiss suggestions over an imminent Paul Pogba departure after it emerged the Frenchman would not feature in the side’s final pre-season clash against AC Milan.

Solskjaer explained that Pogba’s absence was due to injury.

He said: “At the end of the session today, Paul got a back spasm, the same issue he had last week, when he missed the session in Norway. But I think he’ll be available early next week.”
