Youri Tielemans is a transfer target for Manchester United should Paul Pogba leave this summer.

The French midfielder is said by many to have become frustrated at United, with his primary concern their inability to challenge for the Premier League title any time soon.

Real Madrid continue to be his primary suitors despite already having sealed a deal for Eintracht Frankfurt's Luka Jovic with Chelsea's Eden Hazard set to join him imminently after a fee was finally agreed between the two parties.

Juventus are also interested in a reunion with their former player - at the right price - with Pogba himself open to a return to Turin.

Belgian international Tielemans, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Leicester City, is available from Monaco this summer and although not the top choice is an option being considered by decision makers at Old Trafford should Pogba leave.

At 26, Pogba wants to now be competing for the biggest club trophies, although the situation has not been helped by constant issues at United.

One of the reasons he returned in 2016 was because he felt they were on the brink of a challenge under the then recently-appointed Jose Mourinho, but the struggles since then have made him strongly consider a third switch between United and Juventus.

The Italian club do face a similar problem to Madrid in that they would struggle to raise the £130m-plus required to sign Pogba, but could have a trump card in the top players they can offer in exchange.

Whereas Zinedine Zidane has only really been willing to put up players he can do without, there is a belief Juventus may do a deal for Paolo Dybala, Joao Cancelo or even Miralem Pjanic.

Pogba remains a player Zidane is strongly interested in, but Jovic and Hazard have proved higher priorities for Madrid, and that could allow Juventus to strike.

Meanwhile, United are set to make Swansea winger Daniel James Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first signing with the Welsh international set to arrive for a fee in the region of £18m.
