Manchester United apparently know what they have to do in order to persuade Antoine Griezmann to play his football at Old Trafford rather than the Camp Nou next season.

According to The Sun, the Atletico Madrid forward will only spurn Barcelona's advances and join United instead if offered a £400,000-a-week salary.

The figure far exceeds United's initial £290,000-a-week offer to Griezmann, who was expected to join up with Jose Mourinho's side last summer.

Griezmann's move to Manchester fell through, however, after the Court of Arbitration for Sport upheld a ban preventing Atletico from registering new players for two transfer windows.

Mesut Ozil is another player to have been linked with Old Trafford recently, but as per reports in Italy, United may face competition for his signature.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Juventus are well aware that Ozil's current contract expires at the end of the season and could enter the race to take him from the Emirates on a free transfer.

The Germany international has worked under Mourinho before, winning a Liga title together during their spell at Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013.

Reports also continue to link Paris Saint-Germain's Lucas Moura with Old Trafford, as the Ligue 1 champions look to balance their books.

According to Telefoot, United are one of five clubs courting the out-of-favour winger, with Bordeaux, Nantes, Nice and Real Betis providing the competition.

All five would reportedly prefer to take Lucas on a temporary loan deal, though the player himself only has eyes for United.

The 25-year-old Brazilian almost joined under Sir Alex Ferguson in 2012.
