Brendan Rodgers could start the season with just one striker after Daniel Sturridge was ruled out until around October after hip surgery.
With striking flops Rickie Lambert, Mario Balotelli and Fabio Borini (four Premier League goals between them) all seemingly heading towards the exit door this summer, the Liverpool manager could start the season with just one fit striker - and he's never played for the club.
That one man is Belgian youngster Divock Origi, who has been on loan at Ligue 1 Lille this season and performed decently without setting France alight.
Origi, just 20-years-old, has scored eight league goals for eighth-placed Lille this season, adding three assists, in 20 starts and 10 more as a substitute.
