From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Barcelona forward Cristian Tello has rejected any interest from Liverpool saying he has no intention of seeking a move away from Barcelona and that he is determined to spend many more years with the Catalan giants.
Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers was reportedly very keen on the 20-year-old as his ability to play up-front and out-wide made him an ideal solution to Liverpool’s well documented attacking problems.
Tello, however, is reluctant to walk away from a side that has been labeled one of the best club sides of all time.
Last season, his first as part of the first-team squad, showed much promise and on the basis of his displays he has every right to believe his future lies at Barcelona.
"I still have a deal with Barca and I intend to spend many more years at this club," said Tello.
"I am convinced that this is the right place for me and that I wouldn't be happy at another club."
