Nigeria-born Holland youth international Adekanye, who joined Liverpool from Barcelona in 2015, has been linked with Lazio in the last few days.
But the Serie A club denied any agreement in an official statement on Monday.
"In reference to the news released by some media, according to which SS Lazio have found an agreement with the player Bobby Adekanye, the club denies this and announces that it has not signed any contract, nor has it started negotiations for the aforementioned player," they said.
Adekanye has shone for Liverpool's Under-19s and Under-23s but has not made a first-team appearance.
