Leicester City have signed Stoke defender Robert Huth on loan until the end of the season - while a deal to take Aaron Lennon to the East Midlands remains a possibility.

The German centre-back has barely played for the Potters in the past 14 months after falling victim to a long-term knee injury in November 2013.

Huth had previously been ever-present in the Stoke defence and can boast 187 league and cup appearances since his £5m move from Middlesbrough six years ago.

Liam Moore, who has attracted the interest of a host of Championship clubs, is likely to stay at the King Power Stadium after the Foxes rejected an approach from Watford this morning.

According to the Leicester Mercury, today's offer was the Hornets' second attempt to ensnare the England under-21s star but Nigel Pearson appears keen to keep outgoings to a minumum.

Meanwhile, Leicester remain hopeful of securing a deal to sign out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur winger Lennon.

The Foxes hierarchy have been monitoring the 27-year-old's situation for the past fortnight but face stiff competition from both Hull City and Stoke if a loan move is to be completed.

Lennon is believed to be open to a temporary switch away from White Hart Lane - but is wary of joining a club deep in a relegation scrap.

While a short stay at the KC Stadium would reunite the former England international with Michael Dawson, Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore, it is unlikely the Tigers would be able to afford the player's wages.

The Foxes have already secured deals for Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer and £9.5m striker Andrej Kramaric during the last month and have the funds in place to do more business should the right deals present themselves.

One move which seems unlikely, however, involves Japanese international Shinji Okazaki.

The Mainz star has scored 41 goals for his country and would set the Foxes back at least £10m - but the Bundesliga are reluctant to sell until the summer.
