Arsenal legend Ian Wright has described the club's failed pursuit of Karim Benzema this summer as "embarrassing".

Speaking as a BT Sport pundit during their showing of Dinamo Zagreb vs Arsenal in the Champions League, Wright said:

"It was embarrassing. In the way they pursued it.

"You find out, straight from the bat, if the player is interetsted.

"The way he mugged off Arsenal [with the Reakl Madrid is my home tweet] was not good."
