Borussia Monchengladbach's highly-rated prospect Granit Xhaka has spoken about his desire to move to a "top, top, top club".

The 23-year-old Swiss midfleder has been linked with a move to Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool in this transfer window, and his latest quotes hint that he is up for moving.

"Gladbach are a top club," he told German newspaper Bild. "But if I were someday to go to a top, top, top club, I want to play there.

"I'm not the type to be on the bench."

Xhaka has won 39 caps for Switzerland.

The 23-year-old only signed a fresh deal at his current club in February 2015 but sporting director Max Eberl said: "It depends a bit on our own sporting success, it depends on Granit's own performances and of course it depends on the figures. If they reach a certain level, then you could start to get dizzy. There are always situations in which every club would have to make considerations."
