West Ham’s Felipe Anderson has joined Porto on a season-long loan.

The Brazilian moved to the London Stadium for £34.2m in 2018 from Lazio.

But the 27-year-old has recently struggled to earn a place in David Moyes’ side, failing to start a Premier League game this season.

Anderson has two years remaining on his contract with the Hammers and has show flashes of brilliance in his time in London, scoring 12 times in 73 appearances.

The transfer window closed for English clubs signing players from abroad on Monday, but the window in Portugal remains open until 25 October.

The Premier League club wrote on Twitter: "We can confirm that Felipe Anderson has joined Portuguese side FC Porto on a season-long loan. The club wishes Felipe all the best for his loan spell."

Anderson did start both games in this season’s Carabao Cup, assisting in the 5-1 victory over Hull and also setting up another in the 4-1 defeat to Everton.

Anderson was one of three loan deals the Portuguese giants secured from the Premier League.

Chelsea’s Malang Sarr and Liverpool’s Marko Grujic have also joined the Dragoes for a season.

Anderson will feature this term against Manchester City in the Champions League, with the sides drawn together in Group C.

Olympiaco and Marseille are also involved in the group, with Anderson set to make his debut in the competition’s group stage.

The Brazilian featured in the play-off round back in 2015, with Lazio losing 3-1 on aggregate to Bayer Leverkusen.
