Everton transfer news: Idrissa Gueye set to stay despite £26m offer from PSG
While Gueye wants to go, he does not want to force the move by handing in a transfer request so he is likely to stay
Idrissa Gueye's hopes of a dream move from Everton to Paris Saint-Germain appear to be fading as the transfer deadline nears.
PSG have offered £26million for the midfielder with the club wanting nearer £40m for the Senegal international.
While Gueye wants to go, he does not want to force the move by handing in a transfer request so he is likely to stay at Goodison Park for the rest of this season.
Despite their poor league run ramping up the pressure Marco Silva has kept his powder dry in this window with no new arrivals expected before the 11pm cut off.
The Toffees sit eighth in the Premier League with only three wins in their last 11 games while they tumbled out of the FA Cup last weekend at the hands of Millwall.
