Victor Camarasa is set to join Crystal Palace on a season-long loan from Real Betis with a €15m obligation to buy.
The Independent understands that the Spaniard is set to complete his return to the Premier League within the next 48 hours.
The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Cardiff, where he made 32 appearances and scored five goals for Neil Warnock’s side, before returning to Betis for pre-season this summer.
Burnley also expressed an interest in the midfielder, but Palace have long led the pursuit and have been finalising terms with Betis and Camarasa this week.
Meanwhile, the Eagles pursuit of Chelsea full-back Reece James suffered a significant blow as Frank Lampard insisted that the England youth international stay at the club after a £25m bid was rejected earlier this week.
