At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Ronaldo spent nine record-breaking years in the Spanish capital after departing Manchester United in 2009, scoring an incredible 450 goals in 438 games as he won the Champions League four times and La Liga twice.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner eventually left the Santiago Bernabeu in 2018, to join Italian giants Juventus.
But Lille defender Fonte, who plays alongside Ronaldo for Portugal, thinks that Ronaldo has “left the door open” for a return to Real Madrid.
“It’s clear that he loves the club itself, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world, if not the biggest.
“He’s left many, many friends there and he’s always left the door open.
“So I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes back to Real Madrid.”
