Chelsea's search for a left-back continues with Tottenham's Danny Rose the latest to be linked with a move to west London.

Jose Mourinho has been searching for a left-back all summer when it became clear that Filipe Luis would not be happy in a reserve role - the Brazilian was sold back to Atletico Madrid last week.

Baba Rahman of Augsburg has been heavily linked with a move but that is yet to materialise, while Galatasaray's Alex Telles is also rumoured to be an option.

According to the Daily Mirror, Chelsea are willing to pay around £15million for 25-year-old Rose, who beat £10m signing Ben Davies to become first-choice under Mauricio Pochettino last season.

Chelsea are looking thin at full-back with only have two senior players Cesar Azpilicueta and Branislav Ivanovic, in the squad. Rose would provide additional cover and would boost Chelsea's homegrown quota.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has been contacted over a move, according to the report.

If no deal is done, the Blues could switch their attention back to Rahman, who is available for around £17m.
