The 23-year-old Germany international has been in outstanding form this season, scoring 23 goals in 25 games in all competitions, with Leipzig currently top of the Bundesliga table and through to the last-16 of the Champions League.
Both Chelsea and Real Madrid are thought to have expressed an interest in signing the striker this summer, who hopes to lead Germany’s line at the Euros before making any permanent decision.
“The Premier League is certainly the most interesting league, you have to say,” Werner told Bild. “There is a certain flair to watching the English league and playing there.”
However, he pointed out that a number of past Germany internationals have been “very successful in Spain, such as Sami Khedira and Mesut Ozil”.
Leipzig face Tottenham in the round-of-16 next month, while they are currently two points clear of Borussia Monchengladbach, and a further two of Bayern Munich, in the Bundesliga title race.
Werner is indispensable to the team and insists he wants to be part of their historic chase for a first domestic crown.
“As of now I have no desire to look for a move elsewhere,” he said.
Meanwhile, Olivier Giroud is close to joining Inter Milan this month after agreeing personal terms with Antonio Conte's side.
It's believed that Chelsea and Inter Milan are on the verge of an agreement for the 33-year-old, bringing his seven-and-a-half-year stay in England to an end.
