Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko will not convert his AC Milan loan into a permanent move and has begun pre-season training with the Blues.

Frank Lampard may yet take a look at the former Monaco star, who cost the Blues £40m in 2017.

A promising spell at the San Siro last season has provided a reminder of his quality after a poor debut campaign in the Premier League.

And now, should Lampard fail to draft Bakayoko back in to the Blues’ squad, big clubs are queueing up to offer him another chance.

Namely Manchester United and Arsenal, according to RMC, while Paris Saint-Germain are also keen. PSG’s sporting director Leonardo knows the French midfielder well from their time together last season with the Rossoneri.

Promising youngster Fikayo Tomori is under consideration for a first team squad place this year too.

After a stunning season on loan with Lampard at Derby County, the 21-year-old is back.

He will fight it out with Kurt Zouma for a squad place, with Antonio Rudiger, David Luiz and Andreas Christensen already securing squad places.

Which means the Blues may have to consider Burnley’s £15m offer, which will likely be on the table, according to the Sun, who believe the Clarets have identified the youngster as the ideal man to replace James Tarkowski should he leave.

The Blues look set to miss out on Callum Wilson, with the Bournemouth star ready to pen a new five-year deal.

The England striker has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, but the Mail claim he is now likely to commit to the Cherries on £100,000 per week.

Callum Hudson-Odoi appears set to stay at Chelsea and he will be closer to extending his contract with Bayern Munich aggressively pursuing Leroy Sane.

Should they pull the trigger and sign the Man City star for the required £90m, the Sun believe their interest in Hudson-Odoi could be over in a major boost for Lampard and co.

The Evening Standard claim Mason Mount is the latest player to be targeted over a long-term deal, due to his close relationship with Lampard after their time at Derby.

With two years remaining and the potential for Mount to finally break into the first team squad at Stamford Bridge, the move is likely to benefit both parties.

Charly Musonda won’t be benefiting from Lampard’s arrival, not yet anyway – he’s left the club for Vitesse Arnhem on loan.

Nathan’s loan to Atletico Mineiro has been extended. After an initial loan last summer, the Brazilians will remain in Belo Horizonte until 1 January.
