Chelsea transfer news: Latest on Kai Havertz, Dean Henderson, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and more
Frank Lampard refused to discuss Havertz’s potential arrival this week

Chelsea are considering their goalkeeper options and are weighing up finalising a move for Kai Havertz in what will prove a vital next few days.
The Blues will only make a bid for Kai Havertz once they have secured qualification for the Champions League, according to ESPN, which they could do tonight if they beat champions Liverpool at Anfield ahead of the Reds’ trophy ceremony.
Havertz, who turned 21 earlier this month, is determined to leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer, where he has made a huge impact as a goalscoring midfielder, and has already agreed the basis of personal terms with Chelsea.
Frank Lampard refused to discuss Havertz’s potential arrival this week, saying he wanted to focus on beating Liverpool and did not want to speak about “other club’s players”.
The Blues are also searching for a solution to their ongoing goalkeeping dilemma. Kepa Arrizabalaga has struggled to settle since his £71.6m transfer from Athletic Bilbao last summer, and the club are interesting in finding competition for the Spanish keeper.
Dean Henderson is top of their list, according to Manchester Evening News. The Manchester United goalkeeper has excelled on loan at Sheffield United this season, and MEN reports Chelsea are prepared a bumper contract of up to £170,000 to convince the 23-year-old to sign.
Another option is Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen, according to Mundo Deportivo in Spain. The German’s contract is up in 2022, but Barcelona are determined to keep hold of their No1 into the future. Mundo Deportivo claims Chelsea have considered Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblack too, but acknowledge he would be difficult to prise away.
