Chelsea already look formidable after just three Barclays Premier League matches this season.
New arrivals Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa have already made a huge mark in Jose Mourinho's team, while Loic Remy arrived late in the window to provide an excellent back-up should the worst happen to Costa.
The Blues also recouped huge fees for David Luiz and Romelu Lukaku, while Fernando Torres ended his nightmare stay at Stamford Bridge - the right move for both parties.
COMPLETED TRANSFERS
Cesc Fabregas - £30m from Barcelona
The former Arsenal midfielder’s stunning move from Barcelona has transformed the way Chelsea play. Just three games into his career in west London the Spaniard already has four assists, with one of those among the best passes seen in the Premier League era. Fabregas has dictated nearly every minute of Chelsea's three matches, forming a formidable partnership with Nemanja Matic in midfield.
Diego Costa - £32m from Atletico Madrid
Chelsea’s misfiring trio of Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba combined for just 19 goals last season – Diego Costa scored 27 all by himself and his continued that fine form for his new club. Costa already has four goals in three matches; it took Torres more than 30 games to reach that same mark in the Premier League. The Blues have not had anyone score 20 Premier League goals since they won the Double in 2010 (Didier Drogba scored 29), that run could end this season
Mario Pasalic - Undisclosed from Hadjuk Split
The teenager has only had one season in senior football but was so impressive in Croatia he almost made Niko Kovac’s World Cup squad. The 19-year-old has an eye for goal notching 11, along with five assists, as the club came third. He has been loaned to Elche.
Felipe Luis - £15.8m from Atletico Madrid
The left-back signed a three-year deal after agreeing a move from the La Liga champions, the 28-year-old arrived to cover the departure of Ashley Cole. Yet to play, Luis is an excellent defender.
Didier Drogba - Free from Galatasaray
Despite having left the club on perhaps the perfect note - scoring the winning penalty in a Champions League final - Drogba opted to return. He signed a one-year deal having been unable to resist the temptation to link up with Jose Mourinho once more.
Loic Remy - £10.5m from Queens Park Rangers
After Fernando Torres ended his hellish stay at Stamford Bridge with a loan move to AC Milan, Jose Mourinho's squad looked light up front with just Costa and Drogba. The Frenchman was Newcastle's best player last season, scoring 14 Premier League goals - he should provide a perfect second choice for Chelsea, at a reasonable price.
