The Spanish forward was tipped for big things during his rise up through the Barcelona ranks, as it is claimed he scored over 500 goals in just five-and-a-half years for the Barcelona Academy.
He went on to become the youngest player to appear for the Catalans in both La Liga and the Champions League, as well as becoming the youngest ever league scorer for the club when he netted against Villarrealon his first start for the senior side.
Reports suggest that Potters manager Mark Hughes, who turned out for Barcelona during his playing days, met Bojan at Cheshire Hotel Rookery Hall to speak informally, according to the Daily Mail, and the 23-yar-old arrived at the club on Friday to iron out the final details after getting the green light from Barcelona to leave the club.
Having burst onto the scene with big things expected of him, Bojan has since failed to deliver, and has been shipped out on loan to firstly Roma and then Ajax last season, where he scored five goals in 32 appearances.
His father Bojan Krkic Senior is also a former footballer.
