The Gunners are currently in Los Angeles, preparing for a pre-season friendly against Chivas in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Arsenal have made three signings – Granit Xhaka, Rob Holding and Tajuma Asano – so far this summer, but supporters are hoping for more activity in the transfer market.
In a video posted by the Twitter account @Gooners_Report, a fan chases Wenger, shouting: “Only Mahrez, only Mahrez, OK? Please!”
Wenger, who is cycling along a beach front, simply smiles to himself.
Mahrez, who won 2015/16’s PFA Player of the Year award for his role in Leicester’s remarkable title win, has been linked with a move to the Emirates recently.
Reports in France last Saturday suggested that the 25-year-old Algeria international had all but agreed to join Arsenal.
Mahrez, however, turned out for his current club in a pre-season friendly against Celtic later that day.
Claudio Ranieri, the Leicester manager, has since dismissed speculation linking his talisman with a move to north London.
On Saturday, Ranieri told BeInSports that he was “100 per cent sure” Mahrez would stay with Leicester for the forthcoming season.
